Singers may have not received the information they need to seek appropriate care for their voices if they suspect an injury has occurred. In "Me, an SLP & Laryngology," Kristie Knickerbocker takes you through the types of physicians you should be seeking out, the types of exams you should receive, and the care provider team you should have. She also provides an introduction to the different types of voice rehabilitation protocols singers might be given by a care team, and why they might be used for specific issues. Vocal injury is a very scary time for any singer, and this webinar creates a step-by-step path for any singer to start in the right direction to get the care they need.
This course is not a substitute for proper medical care from a licensed professional. If you are experiencing a change in voice quality or how it feels to vocalize, please make an appointment with an ENT, Laryngologist or voice-specialized SLP.
